The Radical Re-<strong>Vision</strong><strong>in</strong>g of Psychology<br />
Jacchus Madonna, by Dennis Klocek.<br />
variety of autistic spectrum type behaviors re<strong>in</strong><strong>for</strong>ced by a<br />
culture that spawns demons. He drew from spiritual<br />
scientific <strong>in</strong>sight about <strong>the</strong> nature of consciousness itself<br />
and asserted <strong>the</strong> need <strong>for</strong> a particular type of attention.<br />
Cit<strong>in</strong>g Frank Wilson’s phenomenal book, The Hand,<br />
Dennis emphasized <strong>the</strong> importance of eye/hand coord<strong>in</strong>ation<br />
<strong>in</strong> early development. The tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g of <strong>the</strong> eye (w<strong>in</strong>dow<br />
32 • be<strong>in</strong>g human<br />
of <strong>the</strong> soul) with <strong>the</strong> hand (<strong>the</strong> embodied <strong>in</strong>strument<br />
of creativity) can be raised to <strong>the</strong> level of an<br />
enliven<strong>in</strong>g activity <strong>for</strong> stimulat<strong>in</strong>g neuronal<br />
development. In addition to this central area <strong>for</strong><br />
<strong>in</strong>tervention, Dennis spoke of <strong>the</strong> critical need to<br />
exercise <strong>the</strong> artistic faculties that give rise to imag<strong>in</strong>ations,<br />
imag<strong>in</strong>ations as lead<strong>in</strong>g orientations to<br />
rediscover<strong>in</strong>g and creat<strong>in</strong>g reality.<br />
Movement VIII<br />
The conclud<strong>in</strong>g talk was given by<br />
William Bento, who picked up <strong>the</strong> <strong>the</strong>mes of<br />
Sophia as Holy Wisdom and <strong>the</strong> emergence of<br />
psychosophy as a path of trans<strong>for</strong>m<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>dividual<br />
soul and <strong>the</strong> culture <strong>in</strong> which it lives. He<br />
sketched a diagrammatic picture of a Holy Tr<strong>in</strong>osophia<br />
comprised of astrosophy, psychosophy,<br />
and anthroposophy. From his references to a<br />
realm of <strong>in</strong>effable light he emphasized <strong>the</strong> human<br />
soul’s long<strong>in</strong>g <strong>for</strong> mysticism, <strong>for</strong> a communion<br />
with <strong>the</strong> stars. And he <strong>in</strong>ferred that <strong>the</strong> study of<br />
<strong>the</strong> stars <strong>in</strong> its relationship to how <strong>the</strong> soul lives<br />
<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> stream of time requires both a “new star<br />
wisdom” and a new <strong>for</strong>m of gnosis — a gnosis of<br />
<strong>the</strong> anatomy and physiology of <strong>the</strong> soul as found<br />
<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>dications given by Ste<strong>in</strong>er <strong>in</strong> 1910.<br />
He <strong>the</strong>n articulated aspects of <strong>the</strong> sentient<br />
body, sentient soul, comprehension-seek<strong>in</strong>g<br />
soul, consciousness soul and spirit self. References<br />
to <strong>the</strong> Pistis Sophia were utilized to expand upon<br />
<strong>the</strong> nature of <strong>the</strong>se mysteries of <strong>the</strong> embodied<br />
human soul. Bento <strong>the</strong>n asserted that putt<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />
wisdom from a soul-gnosis <strong>in</strong>to practice is <strong>the</strong> call<br />
of those who wish to take up psychosophy. In his<br />
view it was noth<strong>in</strong>g less than be<strong>in</strong>g will<strong>in</strong>g to<br />
practice a magic that would lead to <strong>the</strong> Royal Art<br />
of creat<strong>in</strong>g a new culture. This latter remark opened up an<br />
exploration <strong>in</strong>to <strong>the</strong> hermetic methods implicit to <strong>the</strong> spiritual<br />
science of anthroposophy, a path Sardello had already<br />
made clear as <strong>the</strong> way of <strong>the</strong> Black Madonna.<br />
As a call to <strong>the</strong> awaken<strong>in</strong>g of <strong>the</strong>se mysteries Bento<br />
spoke of <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>dividuality of Mani and <strong>the</strong> explicit task <strong>in</strong>
