Test before use
Inspection
The only required maintenance action is the replacement
of the battery (see page 74).
No other maintenance work is required.
A short test should be performed prior to each use of
the device. It consists of a visual inspection and a
simple function test.
Visual inspection:
• Inspect the housing for mechanical damage,
deformation, loose parts, cracks, etc.
• Inspect the cable connection area for mechanical
damage.
• Inspect the labeling for legibility.
Function test:
The result of the self-test that runs automatically
after activation must be heeded.
Inspections should be performed:
• after an application together with high-frequency
surgical instruments or defibrillators,
• when malfunctions are suspected,
• once a year.
The inspection should follow the manufacturer specifications.
These are made available upon request. The
specification lists all required test steps and the
necessary equipment.
