I suspect that I have always had an innate capacity to receive smells with a
blurred, diffuse profile, and a marked inclination to identify one smell in terms
of another, what makes me more than qualified to smudge an exact cartography
of the territory in which it moves.
Roses. A bunch of roses with their suggestive subtle fragrance, which we could
intensify with natural essences so that with their beautiful petals we may savour
with delight the finest Bulgarian jam.
Mirror. The mirror surrounded by that erectile mint green stimulates our taste
buds and salivary floods the mouth with cool alcoholic mint
And What to say about the condom? From it we also savour the acrid taste of
semen and its sui generis smell, which as a creating potion occupies a privileged
primordial place in human and animal history.
What is the difference between a weed and a normal plant?
The plant probably comes from the nursery and is exactly as the gardeners
envisaged it. Beautiful, with no surprises.
The weed, on the other hand, came into being without control or permission,
no one put it there for any reason, its presence insinuates itself into our lives
without prior acceptance.
The weed overcomes the prohibition, and its soft yet wild aroma hybridizes in
the environment, camouflaging itself.
This presence ceases to be furtive in transforming itself into a bronze icon. An
icon that turns the ‘not allowed’ into eternity.
“Sometimes I try to visualize the journey of a word as it leaves the lips of a
speaker and moves towards a listener, or imagine, when standing in a public
library, that all the books are quietly talking. The vision that occurs in my
mind is that of a vast flock of birds, which seem to move chaotically, yet
somehow manage not to collide. With Genoma I´m looking for the first, the
first smell, the origin of everything”.
In most of the markets in China people can buy fresh meat, smell fresh flavors.
In fact. This scene is the one that inspired me to create 1/2.
I like the idea of a cloth like this one covering my body. The words represent the
Chinese culture which has never left my life. I also like having words covering
my body. I like the sincere heart but people need something to cover the things.
