Annexe III _____________________________________________ Table 1 - Experimental design of transfer occasions of 188 eggs of Trachemys scripta elegans shared in 19 boxes, between three different water potential substrates (noted I = Intermediate; W = Wet or D = Dry). At the beginning of the experiment, all boxes stayed 5 days on intermediate substrates. Each box represents a different hydric history in which a pool of eggs submitted a maximum of two transfers in one of the three equal period of incubation time (P1, P2 or P3). Thus, all 19 boxes represent 19 different water potential profiles encountered during incubation time. In table, at each transfer occasion, we indicate the number of boxes on each water potential substrate. Symbol “-“ means that boxes stay on the same water potential at these occasion transfer.
