Le Musée d’art (Kode Museum)

Il accueille des œuvres du XVII e au XX e
siècle et une exposition permanente
(la deuxième plus importante au monde
après celle d’Oslo) de tableaux d’Edvard
Munch, dont une version unique du Cri à
la plume.
Le Kode abrite aussi un musée consacré
à Edvard Grieg, le grand compositeur
norvégien dont on a célébré le centenaire
de la naissance en 2007. Du 1 er juin
au 30 septembre, chaque jour, lors des
« lunchtime concerts » des pianistes
interprètent les œuvres du maître.

It is home to works from the 17 th to 20 th
centuries and a permanent exhibition
of the paintings of Edvard Munsch (the
second largest in the world after Oslo’s),
including a one-of-a-kind pen-and-ink
version of The Scream.
The KODE also houses a museum devoted
to Edvard Grieg, the great Norwegian
composer whose birth centenary was
celebrated in 2007. From 1 June to 30
September, pianists interpret the master’s
works at daily “lunchtime concerts”.
