Situé dans le Var, en appellation côtes de Provence et
coteaux-varois-en-Provence, le domaine appartient à
Angelina Jolie et Brad Pitt. Il est composé de cabernet
sauvignon, syrah, grenache blanc, rolle, cinsault et grenache
et affiche, selon Marc Perrin, toutes les qualités d’un terroir
unique, à 350 mètres d’altitude. Marc Perrin, vigneron renommé,
est engagé auprès du couple américain pour vinifier les vins
produits par le Château Miraval. Les deux acteurs s’investissent
personnellement dans l’aventure : ils ont dessiné l’étiquette ronde
de leur bouteille, créé les coffrets et étuis cadeaux. La cuvée
2015 est, selon Marc Perrin, un mélange de grenache, carignan,
syrah et rolle, tous très prometteurs. Victime de son succès, le
rosé Jolie-Pitt a été imité ; c’est pour éviter les contrefaçons que
désormais, le cachet Miraval est gravé dans le pied de la bouteille.

Var, in the Côtes de
Provence and Coteaux-
Varois-en-Provence
appellations, is home to
the wine estate belonging
to Angelina Jolie and
Brad Pitt. The land grows
Cabernet Sauvignon,
Syrah, Grenache Blanc,
Rolle, Grenache and
Cinsault and, according
to Marc Perrin, has all
the qualities of a unique
terroir, 350 meters above
sea level. Celebrated

winemaker Perrin has
an agreement with the
American couple to vinify
the wines produced by
Château Miraval. Both
actors are personally
vested in the venture: they
designed their bottle’s
round label, created
the gift packaging and
boxes. The 2015 vintage
is a blend of Grenache,
Carignan, Syrah and
Rolle, all very promising,
says Perrin. The Jolie-Pitt
rosé became a victim of its
success and was imitated;
now, to discourage such
counterfeit attempts, the
Miraval stamp is engraved
on the bottle’s base.
