Saturday 17 July is the<br />
centenary jubilee of West<br />
Mersea Yacht Club. Details of<br />
the regatta events have been<br />
sent out to classic yacht clubs.<br />
International participation is<br />
expected: OGA England,<br />
KTK Norway, VKSJ Holland,<br />
and Freundeskreis<br />
Germany will be sending<br />
representative boats.<br />
EUROPE WEEK 2000<br />
(last week of July and early August)<br />
A CULTURAL VOYAGE<br />
TO YESTERYEAR<br />
First stop will be Fredrikstad (Bjarne Aas<br />
and Isegran), then Hankø, the mecca of<br />
Norwegian sailsport. The armada will<br />
continue up to Oslo (reception at City<br />
Hall) and visit beautiful Vollen (Johan<br />
Anker) before stopping at Horten (Europe<br />
Week 1914). Finally Larvik (Colin<br />
Archer) and Risør (Woodenboat Festival).<br />
