10 years of operation in the city of São Carlos

The Amdocs Development Center, a leading provider
of software and services for communication and
media companies, located in the Parque Tecnológico
de São Carlos - Science Park, completed 10 years of
activities in 2022.
North America, following plans to further evolve and
contribute to growth in São Carlos.
In 2009, Amdocs was searching for a site that would
meet its requirements to build a Development and
Support Center. Among several cities analyzed in
Brazil, São Carlos was the chosen one, being the ideal
location for this project: proximity to the poles of the
best IT Universities in Brazil, representing great hiring
potential, easy access and lower costs compared to
São Paulo city in terms of facilities and cost of living,
offering high standard employee benefits.
The center, which started with 30 employees, bringing
in foreign workers (from India and Israel, for
example) and locals - creating new jobs in the region
- started a transformative growth in the city.
Bilingual schools were opened, hospitals began to
provide appointments in English and the first shuttle
service in the region also started.
Amdocs was the first major technology company to
settle in São Carlos, a city that has become an important
attractive center for dozens of technology
companies. In addition to large companies, startups
have emerged – there are more than 80 in the city.
Currently with 330 employees, the Amdocs Brasil
Development Center serves Latin America as well as

the city center, in a green area of 164,000 square
meters, which provides our talent with the possibility
of contact with nature and various sports and
environmental activities.
In addition to contributing to the city’s economic
growth, Amdocs remains involved with social responsibility
by contributing directly to social projects
for the local community, with donations of food, hygiene
products, school supplies, computers for NGOs
and free classes to promote digital inclusion. In São
Carlos, the TechInnovation Week project is also held
annually, which in partnership with universities and
teaching institutions provides a free workshop in the
area of technology and careers for IT students.
