INFRASTRUCTURE AND MOBILITY
Construction work and infrastructural
improvements boost the city forward
The São Carlos Town Hall has a steady grip on what
are the essential measures for maintaining comfort,
safety and citizen quality of life. In order to do so, the
city promotes continuous improvement programs aimed
at several infrastructure, mobility and urbanization
areas.
Melhor Caminho Program
Surrounded by extremely important routes used for
the transportation of agricultural produce, São Carlos
received R$ 1 million from the Government of the
State of São Paulo’s “Melhor Caminho” Program. The
program’s resources are destined for the improvement
and adaptation of rural highways, such as the SCR-070
road, which connects the urban region and the “Alto
da Lagoa” rural district via a stretch of approximately
7 km, assisting around 30 rural properties and 100
farmers.
Town Hall invests in the improvement
of roads and access points
The current municipal administration is working
to integrally repave the whole city and offer even more
comfort and safety to inhabitants and visitors. Among the
current efforts is a R$ 2 million investment in repaving
several districts, totaling up to 42 blocks of public
roadwork recovered so far. The investment consists of
parliamentary amendments and the municipal budget.
