Uluslararası Tarihte Etimesgut Sempozyumu (UTES) KAZAK HALKININ DEVEYİ ARAÇ (TAŞIT) OLARAK KULLANMASI Jazira TEREKBAYEVA Al-Farabi Kazak Milli Üniversitesi, Tarih, Arkeoloji ve Etnoloji Fakültesi, Arkeoloji, Etnoloji ve Müzejilik Bölümü Doktora Öğrencisi, Almatı/Kazakistan ÖZET Makalede taşıt olarak kullanılan hayvanların binme aracı ve yük aracı olarak kullanılmasıyla ilgili meseleler üzerinde durulacaktır. Binilen hayvanlar arasında ve yük hayvanı olarak veya kurak bölgelerde ticari mal taşımak için deve çok önemli bir araçtır. Deve evvelden beri çöl ve tuzlu bölgelerin tabiatına iyi uyum sağlayan, aşırı sıcaklarda hafta boyunca susuz yaşayabilen bir hayvandır. Deveyle ilgili olarak gelenekler, halk bilgisi ve inanç sistemi oluşmuştur. Deve Kazaklar arasında zenginlik olarak görülmüştür. Develer Kazak halkı için, özellikle Kazakistan’ın güney, güney-batı bölgelerinde yaşayan Kazaklar için hem faydalı hem de elverişli bir ev hayvanıdır. Sıradan bir çiftçi deveyi et ve süt üretmekte, binmekte, yük yüklemekte, toprak sürme işinde, arabaya veya kızağa koşarak yaygın bir şekilde kullanır. Deveyi – ev hayvanlarının en iyisi, mübarek bir hayvan olarak görmüşler. Halk edebiyatının birçok örneklerinde deveyle ilgili benzetmelere, bilge öğütlerine ve atasözlerine çokça rastlanır. USING CAMEL AS TRANSPORT OF THE KAZAKH PEOPLE <strong>ABSTRACT</strong> The following article will discuss the issues related to the usage of saddle and pack animals as common forms of transportation. A camel as a saddle and pack animal as well as to transport goods within desert areas is very important means of travel. The camel since the ancient times was well adapted to the nature of desert and salty areas, it can stay in extremely hot climate several weeks without water. Therefore, camel-centered traditions, folklore and belief system was developed. Camels were regarded as symbol of richness. For Kazakh people, especially for Kazakhs living in southern and south-western parts camels are both useful and convenient domestic animal. Average farmer will commonly use camel to produce meat and milk, to ride, to carry loads, to plough the field, to draw carts or sleighs. Beyond this camel was also regarded as a sacred animal. In oral literature there are many examples of metaphors, wise warnings and proverbs related to the camel. Keywords: Car, Camel, Transportation (Vehicle), Proverb, Belief. 170
