želja je da ga majka posjeti. Pošto je sposoban uraditi sve što
hoće ne sumnjam da će se taj susret uskoro dogoditi.
To su I moje želje za novu godinu za njega I za sve koji žude
za bližnjima. Ako ne drukčije ja sam u vašim mislima I željama.
Iz sveg srca želim da bi neki od vas primili status I tako
dobro surađivali sa našim Sektorom kao Ruslan. nadam se da
će poslije prijema u državljanstvo Ruslan posjetiti našu službu
I razveselio nas svojim srdačnim osmijehom
Hvala ti Ruslan, da si nam u svim tim godinama pokazao napore
naše službe za integraciju koja može pomoći ljudima
kao što si TI.
I zašto je to takoreći prava ruska bajka? Jer je sve što sam
napisala istina. SRETNO!

The life story of Ruslan from Russia is amazing. Many things
happened in his home country. Lots of things. This is why
after filing his asylum application he was granted the humanitarian
status almost in a record breaking time – less
than five months.
After living in Asylum Centre (AC) he arrived in the Alien and
Foreigner Integration Section where Darja was appointed
his integration counsellor.
Ruslan expressed already in the beginning a great interest
in integrating into the society and the programmes offered
by Slovenia to those who have been granted the status.
Nothing was too difficult, he would always find time in
spite of working hard. Assisted by the Slovenska filantropija
(Slovene Philanthropy - SF) he rented a flat and the MOI
Ministry of Interior) reimbursed the costs of renting as he
was receiving social assistance.
He attended the course of Slovene language and passed
the exam successfully. He attended the computer course at
the Jesuit Refugee Service. He also passed all the exams for
categories B,C, E, NPK. With Slovenska filantropija he visited
several places all over Slovenia and participated in the
course for volunteers organised by SF. He took every job,
from an ordinary workman to the truck driver.
Ruslan is a merry person, a true Russian. His hobby is mountain
biking and likes to travel. He spent the New Year’s eve
in Bratislava. He wishes to brush up his English even more.
When I asked him what work means to him he said at once
that he works because he likes to help people. His life’s
motto is: Treat people in the same was as you wish to be
treated by them.
Ruslan has met today all the requirements for Slovene citizenship
and that is what he will do in the days to come.
He wants to raise a family with his partner and continue his
studies so that he will not be bored in the following years.
What he misses here in Slovenia is his mother to whom he
is truly close and whom he helps to the best of his abilities.
He talks to her every day on the phone and his biggest
wish is that she could visit him one day. Since Ruslan does
everything he undertakes I am sure he will meet his mother
shortly.
These are also my wishes for him and for all those longing
for your families. If not otherwise I am with you in my
thoughts and wish you from the bottom of my heart that
some of you will be granted the refugee status and cooperate
with our Section just as well as Ruslan. I hope that after
he is granted Slovene citizenship Ruslan will visit us and
make us happy with his heartily smile.
Thank you Ruslan for showing in these years the efforts of
our service that can help people like YOU!
And why is this almost like a true Russian fairy tale? Because

Brineta skače po pruzi i stalno pjeva istu pjesmicu: “48... 48...
48...” Dođe plavuša i pita dali se može pridružiti. Obje dvoje skaču

if she can join her. They both continue jumping and singing:
“48...48...48...” As the train is approaching the brunette jumps
off the tracks and the blonde is run over by the train. The brunette
returns to the tracks, jumping and singing:”49... 49... 49...”
