Coast / ArfordirTalacreNatterjack toadLlyffant y twyniSpectacular sand dunes andbeaches fringe the northern coastsof the county from Gronant toTalacre. They provide both vitalnatural flood protection from thesea, and a home for the onlybreeding population of Natterjacktoads in Wales, plus a colony ofrare Little terns. Only the mostspecialised plants can grow in theirdry, salty soils. Spiky leaved seaholly and the spikes of marramgrass tolerate the constant seabreezes of this importantconservation area.
