You shouldbe able to navigate with the guideon its own but always take alongthe relevant Ordnance SurveyExplorer map as a precaution.(265 Clwydian Range, 256Wrexham/Llangollen or 266Chester cover all the walks).This is particularly important forthe upland routes and those thatare more off the beaten track,such as Hope Mounta<strong>in</strong>. Familiariseyourself with the map key and theabbreviations for the routedirections (right) before you set off.Be preparedWherever you choose to walk,make sure that you wear astout pair of walk<strong>in</strong>g shoesand cloth<strong>in</strong>g appropriate forthe time of year.
