2017, hazırgiyim/moda alanında
malzeme biliminin öne çıktığı bir
yıl oldu. Öte yandan, yeni yeni baş
gösteren teknolojiler daha geniş
ölçeklerde kullanılmaya başlandı
ve sonuçta teknolojinin yarattığı
iyimserlik, arka planda –diğer bir
deyişle ar-ge/ür-ge mutfağındayenilikçi
çözümlere hız kazandırdı.
Ayrıca 2017, start-up firmalarının da
yıldızının parladığı bir yıldı. Sektöre
yenilikçi fikirlerle giren bu “yeni/
küçük” firmalar, daha köklü markalarla
“ürün” geliştirme noktasında
ortaklıklara giderek adlarından söz
ettirmeyi başardılar. Bu tespitler
ışığında sizler için derlediğim 2017
yılının en yenilikçi ürünlerinden bazıları
işte geliyor:
• Mart 2017’de, North Face dünyanın
ilk dökümlü/yumuşak yağmurluğu
olan Apex Flex GTX ile tüketicilerini
buluşturdu. Apex Flex’i özel kılan,
lamine naylon kullanılan geleneksel
yağmurlukların aksine özel bir polyester
örme kumaştan imal ediliyor
ve bu nedenle de çok daha yumuşak
ve esnek olması.
• Adidas, bir startup firması olan
Carbon ile birlikte çalışarak, Futurecraft
4D model spor ayakkabılarını
“dijital ışık Sentezi” teknolojisi kullanarak
geliştirdi. Dünyanın ilk yüksek
performanslı spor ayakkabısı olarak
tasarlanan bu modelin tek bileşenli
tabanı, ihtiva ettiği 20.000 üzerinde
minyatür destekler yardımıyla, belli
bir fonksiyon için kontrol edilebilir
enerji dönüşü sağlıyor.
• Dünyanın ilk “en doğa dostu”
yağmurluğu OutDry Ex Eco Shell,
Colombia tarafından geliştirilerek,
2017 baharında tüm mağazalarında
satışa sunuldu.
• Teknolojik ürünleriyle bilinen Vollebak,
2017’ye iki dikkat çeken ürünle
damgasını vurdu. Bunlardan ilki,
pamuk yerine %100 kevlardan üre-
2017 was a bellwether year for
materials science in fashion. Furthermore,
emerging technologies
came online at scale. Accordingly,
techno-optimism powered an
increasing pace of innovation
behind the scenes. From 4D shoes
to the Google x Levi’s Project
Jacquard, let me take you to a
journey for the last year’s clothing
technology innovations which
appear to shape our future:
• North Face introduced the
Apex Flex GTX as the world’s first
softshell rain jacket. While most
rain jackets are made of stiff
laminated nylon, the Apex Flex,
by contrast, is made of smoother,
stretchier polyester knit.
• Adidas unveiled Futurecraft
4D sneaker. Using “Digital Light
Synthesis” technology, the Futurecraft
4D’s bespoke outsoles
could be made at higher volume
than traditional incremental
“printing.” adidas, in partnership
with California-based startup
Carbon, produced 500 Futurecraft
4D’s for April’s drop.
• OutDry Ex Eco Shell by Colombia,
the world’s most eco-friendly
waterproof jacket, did hit
stores globally.
• Vollebak, UK-based technical
brand, unleashed the Kevlar-Infused
“100-Year Hoodie”.
Instead of a cotton fleece, the
“100-Year Hoodie” is made of
100 percent Kevlar, creating
a pullover garment that can
survive pretty much anything.
The company also launched
“Solar-charged Jacket” which is
a waterproof jacket that glows
after a few hours of exposure
and weighs only 230 grams.
• Christopher Bevans’ luxury
sportswear label DYNE, for its
