TEMSAD (Association of Textile
Machinery Manufacturer) Board of
Directors Chairman Adil Nalbant
evaluated the ITM Fair, which will
take place at TÜYAP on April 14-17, in
terms of the country and the sector.
Starting out by saying “I would like
to start by expressing my gratitude
to you for your great support in
promoting the sector. The service
you provide is very important”, Adil
Nalbant continued “We as a country
have been going through some
very trying times in recent years. The
activities to invade and eliminate
our country that started in 2012 have
had an impact on our economy, our
investors and therefore our sector
whether we like it or not. We have
overcome these attacks thankfully as
a people and as a government. The
ITM fair that will be held in 2018 will be
a turning point where selection and
investment mobilization will start for
new investments in the textile industry
of our country. This fair is very important
for our country. I believe that
the investments, which had been
postponed till now, will increase with
ITM. The figures confirm this. In 2014
our machine import was 2 billion 170
million dollars and in 2015-2016 and
2017 this figure dropped all the way
to 1 billion 350 million. There is a 30%
loss here. I am confident that investments
will accelerate to the point of
covering these losses”.
Nalbant, who provided information
about the contributions of the ITM
fair to the sector, said “As TEMSAD we
are doing effective work to promote
our sector in international and regional
fairs in 2018. Our members will
be participating in the ITM 2018 fair in
