EIKEN HEL & VERDOEMENIS
Russian Imperial Stout – 11% vol.
Brewed with brown malts, an
English traditional specialty malt, we
created an Imperial Russian Stout that
has won prizes at festivals across
Europe from Sweden to Italy. It’s big,
black, roasted and complex. We are
convinced that not trying this ale will
be a mortal sin to your taste buds and
beer experience.
Oak chips have been put in 40 year
old cognac and then added to the beer.
BLACK DAMNATION
Imperial Stout – 13% vol.
Struise/Molen. Dark color, thick
creamy brown head. Aroma of chocolate,
coffee, roasted malt, hint of brown
sugar, some dry fruit. Great mouthfeel,
creamy. Again coffee and chocolate in
the taste, slightly alcoholic, but in a
good way. I like to have this for breakfast
every day! Like Urbain said with a
dark twist of the mind, not for pussies.
Fadøl
KANNEN & KRUIKEN
India Pale Ale – 6,2% vol.
Dry hops, Cascade,Chinook and
Galena. Red-brown beer with a creamy
beige foam. Complex nose, nutmeg,
exotic woods, spices, flowers and nice
hops are there to make your nose go
crazy. Taste is medium dry with cognac
accents. There is a bitterish touch of
bitter nutpeel, cardamom, wood and a
touch of honey to give it a mildish flair
and for sure a grat dosis of citrussy
hops.
Primeur, all weekend.
STRONG SAISON
Saison – 9,5% vol.
Great aroma, floral and spicy, noble
hops, yeasty, orange peel, noticeably
malty. Flavor is spicy and rich, floral
hops, lightly fruity, some candi sugar,
very yeasty, seems like a touch of nutmeg,
lightly funky, cheesy, some citrus.
Primeur, all weekend.
BLOED, ZWEET & TRANEN
BRUICHLADDICH
Smoked – 8,1% vol.
Our groundbreaking series of beers
is continued by Bloed, Zweet & Tranen.
It’s a combination of English peat smoked
malts and another smoked malt
from Bamberg, Germany. Anyone who
watched Fawlty Towers knows how
hard it is to create a lasting peace between
the English and Germans. It cost
us blood, sweat and tears but we are
convinced we succeeded. Maybe we
should go into politics? No, we think
not. We’re to good at brewing beer. Try
it! It’s sweet, it’s bitter, has all kinds of
berries in the flavour next to coffee
and chocolate accompanied with of
course smoke. Made with the most
heavily peated malt in the world from
the Bruichladdich distillery.
Primeur, all weekend.
FRIS & FRUITIG MORELLEN LAMBIEK
BORDEAUX BARREL
Fruit Lambic – 5,6% vol.
Each flavour component plays so
beautifully off each other that it is like
watching a well done stage play. A pair
of characters would present themselves
on your palate and trip delicately
around your senses. With each unveiling,
new complexity was found and a
new sensation. Subtle, refined, delicate,
nuanced.
Primeur Friday 16.00.
HEMEL & AARDE
BRUICHLADDICH BARREL
Hemel & Aarde barrels filled with
single malt Bruichladdich for the first
time in 1972.
Primeur Friday 18.00.
and red berries. Hopbitter aftertaste.
150% Amarillo hops used compared
to the Amarillo Winterwarmer.
Primeur Saturday 16.00.
LANG & KAAL
Barley Wine – 16% vol.
The beer is to be produced in 350 L
UDSTILLERE - 2
Special brew made for Jens
Ungstrup’s 40s birthday, other options
were: Fourty, Fat and Finished (suggested
by "friends" of Jens) - Fourty, Fit
and Fiery (Jens’ own version).
First time on keg. Saturday 18.00.
HEAVEN & HELL
Imperial Stout – 10,2% vol.
Twice the amount of dark roasted
malts used, massive Imperial stout.
This is a mad one. Black brown colour
with a thick and creamy tan head that
can be added to as you wish if you give
the bottle a swirl. Give this beer time
to breathe and blossom into something
truly stunning. Chocolate and
alcohol are right there at the front but
do not at all overpower the gorgeousness
that is underneath. Full of leather,
vanilla, amazing wooden notes, beautifully
floral character from the hops,
thick Belgian chocolate, much character.
The flavour of crazy wooden tartness.
An extremely bitter finish seems
to come out of nowhere and is what
really makes this quite unique. Superb
width in the mouth and coats the
whole palate beautifully.
Primeur Saturday 14.00.
