The lectures address each year different advanced<br />
topics in probabilistic engineering analysis and decision<br />
making. During the course each student participates<br />
actively in the lectures through literature re -<br />
search, presentations and discussions. In turn each<br />
student will give at least one presentation related to<br />
the topic during the course. Exercises are developed<br />
and solved by the students jointly.<br />

Researchers within the <strong>ETH</strong> domain working on<br />
aspects of integral risk management in engineering,<br />
e.g. in competence centres such as HAZN<strong>ETH</strong> and<br />
LSA, are invited to present their recent research<br />
results. The seminars especially address young re -<br />
searchers and provides a platform for sharing<br />
knowledge and achieving synergy across the borders<br />
of research and application areas.<br />
