Ziel des Projektes ist die Entwicklung eines
Systems zur Prognose des geeigneten Zeitpunktes
zum Auswechseln der Dornstange. Dieses System
basiert auf dem zu erforschenden Zusammenhang
zwischen aktuellen Dornstangeneigenschaften und
Leistungsfähigkeit (Lebensdauer, Ausbringung) von
Dornstangen durch eine Verbesserung von Dornstangenwerkstoff
und Schmierung gesteigert werden.
Hierzu werden sowohl Messsysteme zur Erfassung der
Improvement of the inner surfaces of
seamless tubes through optimised, proactive
mandrel handling and monitoring of the
push-bench process
The aim of the project is the development of a
system for predicting a suitable time-point for
changing the mandrel. This system will be based
on the results of an investigation into the relationship
between the mandrel characteristics
at any one time and resulting surface defects
on the inside surfaces of seamless steel tubes.
Furthermore, the performance capability (life,
yield) of mandrels is to be enhanced by improving
the mandrel material and the lubrication.
To do this, measuring systems are being developed
and put into operation at BFI to register the
mandrel force and record its surface condition.
Furthermore, the ultrasonic measuring system
used to detect surface defects on the inside of
