Hotel Burg Bernstein
Mediaeval living can be experienced first hand at Burg Bernstein, a truly knightly
estate, imperiously situated on a rock towering above the Hungarian lowlands. There
are no telephones in the rooms no electricity in the Knight´s Hall and no street noise
outside the windows. Here you can almost sense the presence of former lords of the
castle. Count Almásy, for instance, the renowned desert explorer and racing driver,
whose name has been immortalised through the film, "the English Patient". The superb
dinner prepared by the owner herself is served in the Knight´s Hall, naturally
with candlelight. But a little electricity has to be on the hand in order for guests to
enjoy the magnificent fireplace, the brocade courtains and lovely antiques in their
rooms. Hopefully the ancestral spirits will forgive this intrusion from modern times.
ARTHOTEL BLAUE GANS
Mitten im Zentrum der Stadt hat Andreas Gfrerer aus dem alten
Gasthof ein Kunsthotel entwickelt, dessen Zimmer hell und
teilweise lichtdurchflutet sind. Ein wunderbares Penthouse. Das
Restaurant ist das älteste Wirtshaus der Stadt mit einer modernen
gemütlichen Bar - ein guter Platz nach den Festspielen. Schöner
Garten. r
Right in the middle of the city is an old restaurant belonging to
Andreas Gfrerer. He transformed this penthouse into a modern Art
Hotel, where the rooms are bright and flooded with sunshine. This
place is the oldest restaurant in the city with a comfy bar and a
nice garden. A good place to be after a performance at the Salzburg
Festivals. r

VILLA MELLON
An einem der malerischsten Plätze Kitzbühels findet sich dieses
kleine, feine Landhotel mit historischer Ambiance und sehr persönlicher
Note. Einst als Familienresidenz der Grafen von Seilern
errichtet, gelangte es später in den Besitz des amerikanischen
