Vorträge von Thorsten Kröger, NYK LINE
(Deutschland) GmbH, der Prognosen und
Entwicklungen in der Containerschifffahrt
präsentierte. Es folgten Fachgespräche und
Networking. Die Veranstaltung unterstrich
die wirtschaftliche Bedeutung des nördlichen
Württembergs und bot den Unternehmensvertretern
der Region sowie den aus Hamburg
angereisten HHM-Mitgliedsunternehmen eine
gute Kommunikations-Plattform.

Hafen Hamburg feierte Geburtstag in Nürnberg
Traditionell traf sich der Barbarossa Club auch in diesem Jahr, um den 821.
Hamburger Hafengeburtstag in Nürnberg zu feiern. Claudia Roller, Vorstand
Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V., führte in ihrer Ansprache die derzeitige positive
Entwicklung des Hamburger Hafens nach dem Krisenjahr 2009 aus und freute
sich, im 30-jährigen Jubiläumsjahr des Barbarossa Clubs in Nürnberg insgesamt
14 Barbarossa-Mitglieder begrüßen zu können.
Port of Hamburg celebrated its birthday in Nuremberg
Traditionally, the Barbarossa club met this year to celebrate Hamburg’s 821st
port birthday in Nuremberg. In her speech, Claudia Roller, chief executive
officer of Port of Hamburg Marketing, talked about the current positive development
of the Port of Hamburg after the crisis year of 2009 and was pleased to
welcome a total of 14 Barbarossa members on the 30th anniversary of the
Barbarossa club.

Elbefahrt am 17. Juni
Mitte Juni luden die HHM-Repräsentanzen aus Dresden und Prag gemeinsam
mit der Sächsischen Binnenhäfen Oberelbe GmbH und Cesko-saské prístavy, s.
r. o. Decín Mitglieder, Kunden und Partner zur Elbefahrt. Von Dresden aus startete
die Tour mit dem Bus, der die Gäste durch den „Garten von Böhmen“ bis
in die tschechische Königsstadt Litomerice (Leitmeritz) brachte. Dort wurden
die mehr als 140 Teilnehmer an Bord des Fahrgastschiffes „Bohemica 1“ empfangen.
Während der vierstündigen Elbefahrt stand vor allem das Networking
zwischen den Hafenvertretern und -kunden im Vordergrund.

In mid-July, the Port of Hamburg Marketing invited
to the workshop in the IHK in Heilbronn.
Following the welcoming speech of Port of
Hamburg Marketing representative Jürgen
Behrens and Michael Vaporis, manager of shipping
of the Audi AG and member of the logistics
committee of IHK in Heilbronn, Axel Mattern,
divisional director of HHM market development
and support, informed around 85 participants
about the prospects the Port of Hamburg has.
Subsequently, Johannes Tenschert, DB Schenker
Rail Deutschland AG, talked about the topic
“railway connections – hinterland rail traffic.”
The reports were supported by Thorsten Kröger,
NYK LINE (Germany) GmbH, who presented on
forecasts and developments of container shipping.
Afterwards, the time was used for expert talks
and networking. The event emphasized the
economic importance of northern Württemberg
and provided the company representatives of
the region as well as the member companies that
arrived from Hamburg with an adequate communications
platform.

Cruise on the River Elbe
In mid June the Port of Hamburg Representative Offices Dresden and Praha
together with “Sächsischen Binnenhäfen Oberelbe GmbH” and “Cesko-saské
prístavy, s. r. o. Decín” invited to a cruise on the River Elbe. The tour commenced
in Dresden from where Port of Hamburg Marketing members, partners and
clients of the Port of Hamburg travelled along the “Garden of Bohemia” to the
royal town of Litomerice (Czech Republic) by bus. From here, the tour continued
on board of the passenger ship “Bohemica 1”. More than 140 participants
took the opportunity to expand their contacts with representatives and clients
of the Port of Hamburg.
Hafenabend Budapest
Am 3. Juni fand der traditionelle Hafenabend in Budapest, im Restaurant
Hemingway statt. Claudia Roller, HHM-Vorstand, und Jens Meier, Mitglied der
Geschäftsführung der HPA, begrüßten rund 250 Gäste auf der Veranstaltung,
darunter die Deutsche Botschafterin in Budapest Dorothee Janetzke-Wenzel.
Port Soiree Budapest
On June 3, the traditional port soiree in Budapest took place in the restaurant
Hemingway. Claudia Roller, HHM management and Jens Meier, member of the
management board of HPA, welcomed around 250 guests at the event, including
the German ambassador in Budapest Dorothee Janetzke-Wenzel.
