Port industries and politicians from
the Lower Elbe region met for an
exchange of views during a herring’s
meal in Glückstadt
At the invitation of Port of Hamburg Marketing
(HHM), about 50 decision-makers and experts from the
areas economy and politics met in the beginning of July
to eat herrings in Glückstadt. The networking-event,
which was organized for the first time at the initiative of
Port of Hamburg Marketing, received positive response
among important actors from the Lower Elbe region.
About 50 participants from the region and representatives
from HHM member companies felt comfortable in
the special atmosphere during a herring’s meal in
Glückstadt. They used the event for the maintenance of
contacts and informative discussions about current questions
regarding the economic and the port’s development.
The marketing organization Port of Hamburg
Marketing commits itself particularly to the members’
interests and the economy in the Lower Elbe region in
the framework of events and marketing activities.
This reinforces the already well-functioning and successful
exchange of information and experience at the administrative
level in matters relating to port and infra -
structure planning along the Elbe. “The full-fledged
cooperation of the Lower Elbe ports that exists since
2009, develops successfully and we are pleased that our
members from Schleswig-Holstein, such as Brunsbüttel
Ports GmbH, participate actively in the area marketing
co-operation for many years within the framework
of our various events and activities,” Port of Hamburg
Marketing CEO Claudia Roller explained in her
welcoming speech.

Erfolgreiches Networking mit Netz,
Ball und Schläger in Prag
Das Konzept zur erfolgreichen Networking-Veranstaltung
hat sich erneut bewährt: Seit 19 Jahren veranstaltet die
Hafen Hamburg Marketing-Repräsentanz in Prag die
„Hafen Hamburg Open“ – das Tennisturnier der tschechischen
und slowakischen Transportbranche. Neben
dem sportlichen Vergnügen steht auf dem Tennisplatz
besonders die Kontaktpflege im Vordergrund. Unterstützt
wird die Veranstaltung von HHM-Mitgliedern
und anderen Sponsoren. Besonders freuten sich dieses
Jahr die Gewinner Josef Truhlár (Marketing Manager
DHL-Global Forwarding) und Tomás Andrle (Precolor
Prerov), die nach dem Finale gegen das Paar Lukás Hübner
und Lubos Semecky (beide METRANS a.s.) mit dem
goldenen Siegerpokal ausgezeichnet wurden. Auch die
restlichen Teams zeigten sich zufrieden. „Wir freuen uns
schon jetzt auf das 20. Jubiläumsturnier im nächsten
Jahr!“, verkündete HHM-Repräsentant Bohumil Prusa.
Successful networking with net,
ball and racket in Prague
The concept for a successful networking-event has once
again recently proved itself. For 19 years, the Port of
Hamburg Marketing arranges for representation in
Prague with the “Port of Hamburg Open” – the tennis
tournament of the Czech and Slovak transportation
industry. Apart from the sporting activities, human relations
are the main focus on the tennis court. The event
is supported by HHM members and other sponsors.
This year’s winners who were particularly pleased include
Josef Truhlár (Marketing Manager DHL-Global
Forwarding) and Tomás Andrle (Precolor Prerov), who
were complimented with the golden trophy after their
final match against the couple Lukás Hübner and Lubos
Semecky (both METRANS a.s.). Even the remaining teams
seemed to be satisfied. “Now, we are already looking
forward for the 20th anniversary tournament in the following
year,” HHM representative Bohumil Prusa said.
