of the year
The freeride World Champion
from 2017, Lorraine
Huber from Lech, was
awarded the title female
athlete of the year 2017 at
Vorarlberger Sportnacht
(Vorarlberg’s night of
sports) in Dornbirn. The
professional skier has
been participating
in freeride-competitions
since 2004 and already
has numerous successes
under her belt. La Loupe
would like to warmly
congratulate the 38-yearold
on this special award.

In 2018 three restaurants
from Lech made in into
the top 10 of the latest
Falstaff restaurant guide.
Griggeler Stuba with
chef de cuisine Thorsten
Probost made 3rd place
(99 points), Wunderkammer
with chef de cuisine
Marco Rabensteiner (96
points) made 8th place,
followed by Aurelio’s
chef de cuisine Christian
Rescher (95) points on
9th place. The community
of Lech Zürs once more
proves the high standard
of quality in its local restaurants.

Skyspace opens in
summer 2018
Due to the early start of
the winter season in 2017
construction of Skyspace
Lech, a light space on the
mountain, designed by US
artist James Turrell, had
to be interrupted sooner
than expected. After the
break, however, construction
continues at full blast
and the work of art is
supposed to open in
summer of 2018. James
Turrell has already
visited the shell structure
