Alps
Hermann Fercher, Lech
Zürs’ tourism director,
is the new president of
Best of the Alps, an association
of twelve premium
destinations in the alpine
region. He replaces Peter
Nagel, the former tourism
director of Garmisch-
Partenkichen due to a
change in destinations.
Nagel now is responsible
for the fate of Berchtesgadener
Land tourism.
Fercher’s second in command
is Roger Manser,
head of marketing, communication,
sales, and
guest services in Davos.

BMW, a new partner of
Lech Zürs tourism
As of the 2017/18 winter
season BMW now is
the official automobile
partner of the tourism
destination Lech Zürs.
Under the name “BMW
Mountains” the automobile
brand cooperates
with selected skiing
areas in Austria – and
now the exclusive destination
on Arlberg is
one of them. It is BMW’s
goal to establish its own
brand appearance in the
luxury segment.
