However, it’s not only the stunning landscape<br />
around <strong>Lech</strong> <strong>Zürs</strong> that deserves admiration, the<br />
numerous huts that await at the end of many<br />
hiking routes also ensure unforgettable moments<br />
in the mountains. In our short interviews five<br />
hosts tell us about what’s special about their<br />
hut and get us interested in a visit.<br />

Can you tell us something about the hut’s history?<br />
At 400-years-old Bodenalpe is an old farmhouse which is<br />
being run as a snack stop and hiking hit since the 1970s.<br />
Bodenalpe used to be a rest stop for carriages, then it was a<br />
family-run farm and an alp.<br />
What culinary delights are a must-try up here?<br />
Vorarlberger Käsknöpfle (small dumplings with strong cheeses)<br />
and all sorts of Gröstl (a dish based on roast potatoes) are<br />
our specialties. Aside from that we’re also know for our<br />
grilled dishes.<br />
