Is Rud-Alpe a historic building?<br />
The house was likely built around 1750. Many details like<br />
the ornaments, the balcony or the features point to the<br />
Rud-Alpe having been the home of what was then a<br />
wealthy family. The wealth was probably brought on the by<br />
the ideal location by the busy freight route. The large<br />
fireplace indicates that the freight haulers did not just come<br />
to eat, they were offered overnight accommodation, too.<br />
After 1857 the house is no longer listed in <strong>Lech</strong>’s list of buildings.<br />
This is due to the fact that back then in was probably<br />
used as and alp and made part of the Tannberg plot. We are<br />
proud and happy to be able to continue the house’s gastronomic<br />
heritage after a break of 150 years.<br />
What culinary delights are served up here?<br />
Guests can enjoy Austrian and regional specialties in the<br />
wonderful surroundings of Rud-Alpe’s sun terrace – the<br />
view of <strong>Lech</strong>’s mountain is stunning. After an amazing hike<br />
or bike-tour the Kaiserschmarren (a thick, sweet type of<br />
pancake) on Rud-Alpe is simply delicious.
