Hainz Mack is returning to Venice after eight years, with a major
retrospective. From 23rd April to 17th July 2022, the Biblioteca
Nazionale Marciana presents selected works by the award-winning
artist. The Vibration of Light exhibition presents a striking
cross-section of his work from the last 60 years. His works are
set out in an impressive dialogue of art and history with murals
and ceiling frescoes painted by Titian, Tintoretto and Veronese, in
what is arguably one of Venice’s most iconic venues, the carved Sal
Sansoviniana, which is only accessible through the Museo Correr.
An extra highlight is a 3.4-metre-high stainless stele created
by the now 90-year-old artist, which stands in a courtyard of the
Palazzio Reale, adjoining the Biblioteca Marciana.The curator
of the presentation in the Sale Monumentali is Manfred Möller,
and the exhibition is being held in collaboration with the Galerie
Geuer & Geuer Art in Düsseldorf.
