ment is produced in the middle into a small triangle, on either
side of \vhich is a flattened plate with rounded, fuscous outer
margin which is apparently slightly crenate. Lateral valves
small but distinct, rounded on their apical margin.
Length of body, 6 mm. Expanse of forewings 20 mm.
This insect was discovered by Herr Stud. M. Weurlan-
der at a little brook near Ekenäs, and was subsequently taken
there in numbers in the months of July and August by Herr
A. J. Silfvenius to whom I am much indebted for the ma-
teria! from which I have described this interesting species.
