Reconstruction of solar photospheric <strong>an</strong>d heliospheric magnetic field since 1700 with a<br />

physical model<br />

Based upon the group sunspot number <strong>an</strong>d the previous studies about the features of the<br />

sunspot emergence including the area, latitude, longitude <strong>an</strong>d tilt <strong>an</strong>gle, we reconstruct the<br />

solar photospheric <strong>an</strong>d heliospheric magnetic field since 1700 with the coupled solar surface<br />

flux tr<strong>an</strong>sport model <strong>an</strong>d current sheet source surface extrapolation. The open flux results<br />

from our model agree well with geomagnetic-based reconstruction. We also get the temporal<br />

evolution of the heliospheric current sheet tilt <strong>an</strong>gle, which is import<strong>an</strong>t for cosmic ray<br />

modulation.
