Mr Poots (The Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety): The Royal Vic<strong>to</strong>ria Hospital’s<br />

average time <strong>to</strong> process a prescription is 82 minutes with 75% dispensed within the 120 min target,<br />

whereas Belfast City Hospital’s average time <strong>to</strong> process a prescription is 91 minutes with 76%<br />

dispensed within the 120 min target.<br />

A number of fac<strong>to</strong>rs can influence patient waiting times including the availability of the doc<strong>to</strong>r <strong>to</strong> write<br />

the prescription, pressure on pharmacy services and complexity of the individual prescription. I have<br />

been advised by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust that it is currently reviewing the situation and<br />

taking appropriate action <strong>to</strong> comply with the target.<br />

Nurse who Specialises in Muscular Dystrophy and Related Neuromuscular<br />

Conditions<br />

Mr McDevitt asked the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety when a nurse who<br />

specialises in muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions will be appointed.<br />

Captial Asset Disposal<br />

Mr Weir asked the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety <strong>to</strong> detail the capital assets of<br />

which his Department intends <strong>to</strong> dispose in each of the next three years.<br />
