Out of Hours Service in Strabane
Ms Boyle asked the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety how many patients have
been advised, upon telephone contact with Western Urgent Care, to attend the Out of Hours Service in
Strabane within the last year.
(AQW 13433/11-15)
Mr Poots: During the year April 2011 – March 2012, 6,638 patients attended the Out of Hours Service
in Strabane. The majority of these patients will have been advised to attend the Out of Hours service
following telephone contact with Western Urgent Care, however the figure also includes patients who
attended the centre without first telephoning Western Urgent Care, but these numbers are very small.
