To run WebDAV, you must install Internet Information Services (IIS) 7 or greater on a server
operating system such as Windows Server 2008.
In this section we discuss installing and configuring WebDAV on IIS 7.0.

1. Create a virtual directory that points to the Roaming User directory. For more information, see

2. Enable Basic Authentication for the Roaming User directory. For more information, see:

3. In the IIS Manager, select Default Web Site in the left pane.
4. In the main view, double-click WebDAV Authoring Rules.
5. Select WebDAV Settings.
6. In the WebDAV Settings page, under Authoring Behavior, set the Allow Unknown MIME
Types property to True.
7. Under Property Behavior, set the Allow Custom Properties and Allow Property Queries
with Infinite Depth properties to True.
