2,4 The Kentucky bluegrass is common in danp areas
throughout the Park, such as under trees. It is
replacing the native Deschanpsia grassland in
Kaluanui, and work should be done to f id a- means
of controlling its spread.
2,4 A large community of castor bean is found along
and to the east of the Kaup Trail near the bound-
ary of the Park.
*,2,4 The prickly Florida blackberry has becane a nui-
sance in the Paliku Horse Pasture, could spread
elsewhere in the Park. It is high on the list of
species needing inmediate control.
