15-3. REGIMENTAL CEREMONIAL PARADE<br />
The regiment normally forms in line of battalions with companies in<br />
line or companies in mass formation to conduct a ceremonial parade. The<br />
parade proceeds as for the battalion (see paragraph 15-2) with the<br />
following exceptions:<br />
a. Regiment is substituted for battalion in the description.<br />
b. The companies <strong>and</strong> battalions march on at the "second" or,<br />
regimental Adjutant’s Call, or form on the line of troops prior to<br />
regimental Adjutant’s Call under supervision of the regimental adjutant as<br />
prescribed for forming for <strong>ceremonies</strong> in Chapter 11, up to the point where<br />
units have completed dressing to the right, guides are posted (if units<br />
marched on), <strong>and</strong> bayonets are fixed (if prescribed). "Sound Off" is then<br />
conducted <strong>and</strong> the remainder of the parade proceeds in the same manner as a<br />
battalion parade.<br />
c. Battalions <strong>and</strong> independent companies execute present arms, order<br />
arms, parade rest, attention, <strong>and</strong> other movements of the <strong>manual</strong> of arms on<br />
the comm<strong>and</strong> of their respective battalion comm<strong>and</strong>ers or independent<br />
company comm<strong>and</strong>ers. Reports to the adjutant are made by battalion <strong>and</strong><br />
independent company comm<strong>and</strong>ers.<br />
d. In trooping the line, after "Sound Off", the b<strong>and</strong> passes midway<br />
between the line of battalion comm<strong>and</strong>ers <strong>and</strong> the adjutant.<br />
e. At officers center, battalion comm<strong>and</strong>ers <strong>and</strong> their staffs close<br />
center on the original line of battalion comm<strong>and</strong>ers. Company comm<strong>and</strong>ers<br />
oblique forward to close on a line 4 paces behind the line of battalion<br />
staffs. Guidon bearers oblique forward to close on a line 4 paces behind<br />
the line of company comm<strong>and</strong>ers. The platoon comm<strong>and</strong>ers’ rank obliques<br />
forward to close 4 paces behind the guidon bearers.<br />
f. In the march in review, the comm<strong>and</strong>er of troops comm<strong>and</strong>s PASS IN<br />
REVIEW. On this comm<strong>and</strong> the b<strong>and</strong> changes direction to that of the line of<br />
march <strong>and</strong> halts.<br />
(1) If the parade is being conducted with companies in line<br />
formation, when the b<strong>and</strong> is halted, the comm<strong>and</strong>er of the right battalion<br />
or independent company comm<strong>and</strong>s, RIGHT, FACE; RIGHT SHOULDER, ARMS, <strong>and</strong><br />
column of threes is formed. Remaining battalions <strong>and</strong> independent companies form column of threes<br />
<strong>and</strong> come to right shoulder arms on comm<strong>and</strong>s of their battalion or independent company comm<strong>and</strong>ers<br />
in succession from right to left. When all units are at right shoulder arms, the comm<strong>and</strong>er of<br />
the right battalion or independent company comm<strong>and</strong>s, FORWARD, MARCH. The b<strong>and</strong> steps off playing<br />
on this comm<strong>and</strong>. Succeeding battalions <strong>and</strong> independent companies step off on the comm<strong>and</strong>s of<br />
their respective comm<strong>and</strong>ers so as to follow at the prescribed distances.<br />
(2) If companies are in mass formation, when the b<strong>and</strong> is halted, the comm<strong>and</strong>er of the<br />
right battalion comm<strong>and</strong>s, RIGHT SHOULDER, ARMS; COLUMN OF COMPANIES, RIGHT COMPANY, RIGHT TURN,<br />
MARCH; should an independent company be on the right, its comm<strong>and</strong>er comm<strong>and</strong>s, RIGHT SHOULDER,<br />
ARMS; RIGHT TURN, MARCH. The b<strong>and</strong> steps off playing with the right unit. Comm<strong>and</strong> of succeeding<br />
battalions <strong>and</strong> independent companies give similar comm<strong>and</strong>s to set their units in motion so as to<br />
follow at the prescribed distances.<br />
(3) Initially, battalion comm<strong>and</strong>ers <strong>and</strong> their staffs march<br />
parallel to the line of troops <strong>and</strong> take position at the head of their<br />
battalions after the first change of direction. The comm<strong>and</strong>er of troops<br />
<strong>and</strong> staff take position at the head of the b<strong>and</strong> after the second change of<br />
direction.<br />
(4) Battalion comm<strong>and</strong>ers <strong>and</strong> their staffs execute eyes right<br />
in the same manner as the comm<strong>and</strong>er of troops <strong>and</strong> his/her staff.<br />
Companies march in review in mass formation, column of threes, or column<br />
of platoons in line executing changes in direction, flanking movements,<br />
<strong>and</strong> eyes right as appropriate in the same manner as in a battalion parade.<br />
15-4. CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY<br />
The ceremony proceeds in the same manner as the battalion<br />
(regimental) ceremonial parade up to the point where the troop comm<strong>and</strong>er<br />
directs the adjutant, publish the orders, Sir."<br />
