Distribution. Ontario to Alberta, south through the northern<br />
United States from North Dakota to Michigan, south to Indiana.<br />
Alberta: Edmonton. Manitoba: Aweme and Husavick. Ontario: Ottawa<br />
and Turkey Point.<br />

Comments. This species belongs to the subgenus Eutrichapion<br />
and most closely resembles A. cauifrons. Adults <strong>of</strong> A. huron are<br />
distinguished by the flat frons and by the single row <strong>of</strong> setae on the<br />
elytral interstriae. Adults were collected from May through August.<br />
Nothing is known <strong>of</strong> the life history or habits <strong>of</strong> this species. Kissinger<br />
(1968) designated the lectotype <strong>of</strong>this species.<br />

Description. Length 2.L-2.7 mm. Body moderately elongate,<br />
dark reddish brown. Pubescence conspicuous, consisting <strong>of</strong> white,<br />
<strong>of</strong>f-white, yellow, to dark scales; scales on basal and apical regions <strong>of</strong><br />
elytra lighter, separated by transverse bands <strong>of</strong> finer, darker scales<br />
appearing as dark band near middle; scales on metepisternum dense at<br />
base, thinning out to more or less single row in apical half. Frons wider<br />
than dorsal tip <strong>of</strong> rostrum. Rostrum about 1.5 times longer than<br />
pronotum in males, slightly longer in females, both with sparse, fairly<br />
coarse round punctures; rostrum not deeply sulcate or carinate at base.<br />
