Description. Length 5.2-7.5 mm (head excluded). Frons convex,<br />

with narrowly impressed longitudinal groove; surface concealed by dense,<br />

white, recumbent setae. Rostrum flattened, with 3 carinae; 2 carinae<br />

parallel, longitudinal, distinctly elevated; median carina less distinctly<br />

elevated; surface concealed by dense, white, recumbant setae, brown at<br />

rostral apex. Pronotum about 1.3 times wider than long, widest behind<br />

middle; sides angulate at base, converging toward broadly rounded<br />

anterior margin; base broadly emarginate; basal carina transverse,<br />

strongly elevated; lateral carina acute, strongly elevated; surface very<br />

irregular, with median, narroq deeply impressed W-shaped groove;<br />

lateral areas <strong>of</strong> disc with various weak elevations and distinct, strong<br />

punctures or small irnpressions; surface shining, with dense, minute<br />

punctures; vestiture consisting <strong>of</strong> small, light brown setae, with<br />

scattered, small, white or yellow patches. Elytra about 1.4 times longer<br />

than wide, with light brown setae; posterior half with distinct tranverse<br />

band <strong>of</strong> white setae; apex <strong>of</strong> elytra brown, broadly rounded; striae<br />
