Comments. Adults <strong>of</strong> this species are easily distinguished from<br />
P perplexus, the only other Canadian representative <strong>of</strong> this genus, by<br />
the color as summarized in the key and by the largely conceled pygidium.<br />
This species has been recorded from willow (Salix species) in <strong>Canada</strong><br />
and from birch (Betulo species) and oak (Quercus species) elsewhere.<br />
