optimum separation.<br />

Universal marker for electrophoretic separation of fragments between<br />
500 bp and 10 kb, optimally suited for size determination of inserts, plasmids,<br />
and restricted DNA. The mass of the larger fragments was reduced,<br />
allowing to obtain clear and distinct bands with short running distances even<br />
for the large marker fragments.<br />
The terminal sticky EcoRI-restriction sites allow simple labelling of the<br />
marker fragments via end-labelling techniques.<br />
The 1 kbp DNA-ladder is highly compatible with the 100 bp DNA-ladder<br />
(equalised: T833.1).<br />

Versatile DNA-marker combination for gels and DNA-fragments of different<br />
size. DNA-ladder combi combines the advantages of the 100 bp ladder,<br />
equalized, with the versatile 1 kbp DNA-ladder. Subsequently we now have<br />
a marker set that completely covers both the medium size range up to 10 kb<br />
(see figure of Y014) as well as enabling clear size analysis in the small<br />
fragment range. The two markers come in separate tubes to ensure high<br />
flexibility in the laboratory. They can, therefore, be used separately or<br />
combined. The bands below 500 bp were enhanced aligning their intensity<br />
in the gel to the large fragments. The 500 bp band was specially enhanced<br />
for easy orientation in the gel.<br />
The figure shows a gel mixture of 0.9 % Agarose + 0.5 % Synergel ® with<br />
(left to right): 0,4 µg 100 bp Ladder, equalized + 0.3 µg 1 kbp Ladder;<br />
0.5 µg 1 kbp Ladder, 0.4 µg 100 bp Ladder, equalized.<br />
