May be adopted under limited field situations having better drainage and water management with well-prepared levelled fields.
2
Limitations for sowing with pre-germinated rice seeds in wetland puddled fields. It requires precise land levelling. The standing
water must be drained before sowing and waterlogged conditions are adverse to plant emergence. Better water management is
required at the initial stage of germination. For one week after sowing, the land should be kept free of standing water to prevent
submergence of sprouted seeds and seedlings. However, soil should not be too dry to prevent emergence of seedlings.
