ELGIN BAYLOR GAME WORN LOS ANGELES LAKERS WARM-UP SUIT
A gold colored Los Angeles Lakers warm-up suit game worn by Elgin Baylor. The suit consists of a warm-up
jacket that features purple, white and gold striping through the shoulder area, the cuffs of the arms, and along
the bottom of the jacket. An embroidered "Lakers" logo patch is stitched into the upper left breast of the jacket.
Stitched into the back of the jacket is "BAYLOR" in purple-on-white tackle twill lettering. The jacket features snap
closures running down the front. Included with the jacket are Baylor's gold colored warm-up pants. The purple,
white and gold striping repeats down both sides of the pants. The pants feature zippers on the side of each leg
running from the bottom of the pant to roughly 16 inches up the side of each leg. The pants feature a drawstring
closure. On the interior of the pants is a patch that has been stitched into the rear waistband. The patch
features Baylor's number "22" in red embroidered lettering. Baylor had gifted this warm-up suit to Lakers
broadcaster Chick Hearn upon retiring from the NBA after the 1971-72 season. Hearn's wife, Marge Jeffers,
returned the suit to Baylor after Hearn's death in 2002. Accompanied by a color image, owned and signed
by Baylor, of Baylor wearing a similar warm-up suit on the basketball court. No sizes present.
