A group of items given to Elgin Baylor in 1998 at the NBA All-Star Game in New York City. The game took place on February 8, 1998, at<br />

Madison Square Garden. The group contains two porcelain containers with the first a round container featuring New York City scenery<br />

around the exterior, and a second star shaped container. Both containers read “New York Knicks/ 1998/NBA/ All Star Game/ New York<br />

City” on the interior. Also included is a 1998 NBA All-Star Game star shaped glass paperweight. All three items are made by Tiffany & Co.<br />

A wood plaque from the Nissan Open Pro-Am held at the Riviera Country<br />

Club on February 17, 1999. Two photos are inset under plastic in the<br />

plaque. A yellow metal plate beneath the first lists the players pictured as<br />

Peter Ganahl, Dean Ulrich, Tom Kite, Elgin Baylor, and Bruce Varner. The<br />

second photo features Baylor with Kite, and the photo is signed “To Elgin-/<br />

Thanks for a/ super day!/ Tom Kite.”<br />

metal smooth bezel and quartz movement. Mounted to the wood base a<br />

plaque that reads “1998 Pro Basketball Golf Classic Challenge Team Champions/<br />

Central City Association of Los Angeles. The glass award features an etched<br />

angel on a tower and an etched base that reads “Central City Association of<br />

Los Angeles/ May 11, 2000/ Elgin Baylor.” The CCA is a Los Angelesbased<br />

business advocacy organization. The award is accompanied by the<br />

April 2000 issue of CCA Today and the Treasures of Los Angeles Awards<br />
