police surgeon Dr Captain Nizamuddin Memon.<br />

Q: What does your post-mortem report say about the types of the wounds<br />

and where he was hit?<br />

A: He was hit by only one bullet on the right side near the right ear and the<br />

bullet passed through and exited from the left side, damaging the brain.<br />

Q: How long he survived after being hit by a bullet?<br />

A: He died within an hour.<br />

Q: Were you examined by any law-enforcement agency or the British team of<br />

detectives?<br />

A: No.<br />

Q: Was the post-mortem carried out on Haq Nawaz Sial on the same pattern<br />

as was done in the case of Mir <strong>Murtaza</strong>?<br />

A: No. In this case, the body was dissected and all the three cavities were<br />

opened for nearly two hours at the mortuary of Dow Medical College. The<br />

incisions and dissections were done by me and I wrote the report. The body<br />

was fresh, healthy, there were no marks of any violence or struggle, the<br />

tongue was inside, the mouth slightly open, and there had been bleeding<br />

from the wounds.<br />

Q: When was the post-mortem carried out after the death?<br />

A: Within three to four hours after death.<br />

Q: What caused the death?<br />

A: Head injuries followed by brain haemorrhage.<br />

Q: When did you conduct the post-mortem on the body of Haq Nawaz Sial?<br />
