Symmetry BC
Polymer meshing wizards now provide an option to create symmetry boundary conditions. It is
supported even for models that start from an existing mesh.
Interior Surface BCs
Plate Meshing, Coextrusion and Melt Flow Analysis wizards captures Interior Surface BCs between two
Polymer components having same material.
Resolved Issues
• Fixes to unit conversion errors when specifying melt flow rate in non-standard units (such as, mm/
min, cm/min, m/min, etc.).
• When the model has insert, interface will automatically write the tool velocity data packet. This
data is expected by the solver.
• Exits and FreeSurface BCs are organized based on XY values in Plate Meshing, Coextrusion and
Melt Flow Analysis Wizards.
12.0 Release Notes - Forging / HX-Forge
HX-Forge Profile
The Forging user profile now supports two solvers: Deform and HX-Forge. Latter is a new solver
targeted for billet forging applications.
Forging Wizard
A new wizard is implemented to guide user step by step to create model data. In this release, this
wizard will create model for “round-to-round” and “square-to-square” billet forging analysis.
Utility Macros
New utility macros are added for creating tool sets and process builder in order to set up forging
model. With these tools, user can manually create and setup models for analysis.
