TeamCenter PLMXML Files
TeamCenter PLMXML files are now supported in HyperMesh for batchmeshing and assembly:
• Multi-core batchmeshing is seamlessly exposed through the Assembly Browser
• Ability to initiate batchmeshing by just loading the assembly file (PLMXML) without loading the
CAD parts in HyperMesh
• Metadata related to material, thickness and component ID’s are automatically assigned in
HyperMesh
• Param and Criteria files are assigned based on metadata in the PLMXML file
• Delta PLMXML export is supported that can be imported in TeamCenter for Simulation
TeamCenter PLMXML file import options are supported in the Assembly Browser. The Assembly Browser
supports the following tasks:
• Initiating batchmeshing by specifying number of processors on multi-core machines
• Assign/Change/Edit param and criteria file for meshing
• Save individual component HM files after batchmeshing
• Change from CAD to mesh representations easily
Creation of Self-contained Include Files in Ls-Dyna User Profile
In the past when moving comps to across includes, we provided options to move nodes and elements.
Now there is an option to create a self-contained include file with no external references. The option to
not move material and properties associated with the components is also available.
Finding Cross References
A powerful feature to find cross references across includes for Dyna and RADIOSS has been
introduced. It allows you to understand the dependency in Include files.
The right-click context menu of an Include file in the Model Browser displays the option “Include xref.”
This shows the references with external Include files.
Autopitch
AutoPitch tool to determine weld locations based on flanges is provided under the Connectors menu for
spot welds.
Crash Post-processing: IIHS
In the Vehicle Safety Tools preferences, there are now two new templates to plot IIHS front intrusion
and IIHS side structure intrusion plots for RADIOSS and Dyna.
IIHS Front Intrusion works on:
• T01 file of RADIOSS
