• A critical crash while selecting a different curve from the browser when the field in Attributes tab of
currently selected curve was active is fixed.
• Implicit graphics for some of entities, when selected, were not being highlighted in the graphic
screen. This has been resolved.
• Double-clicking on selected entities in the model tree was not confirming the selection and closing
the tree. This issue has been resolved. Double clicking on an entity in the model tree is equivalent
to selecting the entity and clicking OK.
11.0.130 Release Notes - MotionView Vehicle Library
TNO Magic Formula and Swift Tires Support
The TNO Magic Formula and Swift tires are now supported in the vehicle library. A tire system
definition and sample TNO files are included in the installation. This requires solvers SA11.0-220.
Truck Tire System Definitions Enhancements
A series of truck tire system definitions are included to model axles with four tires. Up to 18 tires can
be modeled using these system definitions.
Single Tire System Definitions
Single tire system definitions are included for vehicles. The wizard based tire system can be deleted
and replaced with single tire definitions or axle pair tires. This permits easier development of vehicles
with three wheels, two wheels (such as motorcycles), and other alternative suspension systems.
Vehicle Models in Online Help
The vehicle models are now documented in the online help. Documentation includes a description of
the points, bodies and joints of the suspension, along with the options available with each suspension.
Resolved Issues
• The default suspension spring preloads were revised for the rear twistbeam and the rear solid axle
4 link suspensions. Vehicles built with these suspensions should now run out of the box.
• The braking event now works (requires solvers SA 11.0.230). The event would run in the past but
would not apply any braking torque.
• The speed controller is revised in straightline acceleration events to use velocity control instead of
acceleration control, resulting in a more robust solution.
• The “DIFF” method of tire modeling is removed from the library.
• The static load event now works for the Powertrain model when solving in MotionSolve.
• The multi leaf spring template has been fixed to allow users to customize the leaf spring
configuration. The template is located in \hw\mdl\mdllib\Libs\Models\Rear_susp\Leaf_spring and
allows a parametric leaf to be built.
• The report template for the “steer release in a turn” event now shows all plot results defined in the
template.
