Material Description:
End connections shall be mechanical joint less
accessories. Valve body and disc shall be
constructed of ductile iron. Disc shall be
furnished with 316 stainless steel seating edge
to mate with the rubber seat that shall be
retained on the body. Valve shafts shall be 18-8
type 304 stainless steel. Shaft seals shall be
standard self-adjusting split V packing and
shall be of a design allowing replacement
without removing the valve shaft. Valve bearings
shall be sleeve types that are corrosion
resistant and self-lubricating. Valve actuator
shall be fully grease packed and have stops in
the open/close position.
Application:
The valve shall be provided with a 2"
square-operating nut. The valve interior and
exterior surfaces except for seating shall be
coated with a minimum of 6-mils of polyamide
cured epoxy coating (fusion bond epoxy). For
use in underground potable water and reclaimed
water systems.
