Material Description:
Sleeve type carbon steel coupling consisting of
center sleeve, one end ring and mulit-range two
layered EPDM gasket and stainless steel spanner
per end with a type 304 stainless steel nut and
bolt per end. The design is per AWWA C219-01
with a working pressure of 260 psi. The coupling
has a fusion bonded epoxy coating (14 mils).
Center Ring meets ASTM A53 Grade Steel, end
rings meet ASTM A795 steel standards, and
gaskets are EPDM compounded and meet NSF 61
requirements.
Application:
For water and wastewater pipe repairs, above and
below ground. Can join pipes with diameter
differences up to 1.30 inches. Coupling can
handle pipe end gaps up to 7.5 inches, and will
accommodate angular deflection of up to 8
degrees.
