Material Description:
Vault shall be 4'-0"Wx4'-0"Lx3'-6"D (inside
dimensions) comprised of an open bottom base
section, a riser section, and a top section.
Sections shall be joined utilizing tongue and
groove joint construction. Concrete shall be
5,000 psi. Reinforcing steel shall be Grade 60.
Wall thickness shall be 4" min. Each section
shall be provided with a min of four 1" lifting
inserts. Base section shall be provided with 12"
x 12" thin wall knockouts for future pipe
penetrations. Top section shall be cast with an
integral tapped and threaded in eight places for
securing the cover plate with the use of
countersunk, 3/8"x1-1/2" slotted screws.
Application:
In-ground housing of various water, sanitary,
and reclaimed piping and device assemblies –
ranging from BFP’s to valve junctions, etc.
Cover plate shall be diamond plated galvanized
steel equipped with a 12"x12" access door and
chain, or hinged aluminum grating.
