32 Corporate information<br />
The financial report of the <strong>Australia</strong>n <strong>Post</strong>al Corporation for the year ended 30 June 2009 was authorised for issue in accordance with<br />
a resolution of the directors on 27 August 2009.<br />
The <strong>Australia</strong>n <strong>Post</strong>al Corporation is a Government Business Enterprise (GBE) established pursuant to the <strong>Post</strong>al Services Act 1975, the existence<br />
of which is continued by section 12 of the <strong>Australia</strong>n <strong>Post</strong>al Corporation Act 1989. The nature of the operations and principal activities of the<br />
group are outlined in the corporation’s annual report.<br />

33 Events after balance date<br />
On 27 August 2009, the directors of the <strong>Australia</strong>n <strong>Post</strong>al Corporation declared a final dividend in respect of the 2009 financial year.<br />
The total amount of the dividend is $92.8 million and this has not been provided for in the 30 June 2009 financial statements.<br />
