Corporate responsibility<br />
From a workforce of one person in 1809 to a team of 35,509 in 2009, <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Post</strong> is now one of the<br />
nation’s largest employers. We touch the lives of millions of <strong>Australia</strong>ns – staff, partners, customers and<br />
the wider community – every day, which is why we take our responsibilities as a corporate citizen very<br />
seriously. We have a strong record of operating in a way that is both fiscally and ethically sound, but this<br />
financial year we raised the bar by introducing our first corporate responsibility strategy. This sets even<br />
higher standards for the way we do business, making social and environmental factors as central to our<br />
decision-making as economic considerations. More than ever, we are employing sustainable business<br />
practices today, for a better tomorrow.<br />
