When Abraham Thomas (pictured)<br />
and Domenic Ardino established<br />
their natural skin care company,<br />
New Directions, in 1987, they<br />
did everything from creating<br />
product formulas to designing<br />
their own product labels.<br />
Today, New Directions employs<br />
hundreds of staff around the world,<br />
produces more than 4,000 different<br />
product items, and has a customer<br />
base of over 45,000 consumers and<br />
businesses – servicing everyone<br />
from home shoppers to some of<br />
the most trusted and respected<br />
companies in the world.<br />
“<strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Post</strong> was the sole<br />
method of despatch from day one,”<br />
says Abraham, founder and<br />

New Directions.<br />
“From our Sydney office alone<br />
we are servicing 45,000<br />
active customers,” he says,<br />
“so we have people constantly<br />
requesting samples – and the<br />
most cost-effective way to send<br />

The new Click and Send online<br />
international parcel processing<br />
service has also helped get the<br />
job done: “It has really saved<br />
time, reduced errors and<br />
increased efficiency.”<br />
In <strong>2008–09</strong>, New Directions’<br />
spend with <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Post</strong> grew<br />
by 33 per cent. Quite simply, “The<br />
business wouldn’t function without<br />
<strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Post</strong>,” says Abraham.<br />
